Advancement of Computing - Cybersecurity, Undergraduate Certificate

The new Undergraduate Certificate in the Advancement of Computing - Cybersecurity (AdvComputing-CY) is designed to develop marketable skills grounded in Cybersecurity principles. Upon successful completion of the certificate, students will have gained a mastery of advanced skills to build a career in the area of Cybersecurity. 

The Undergraduate Certificate in Advancement of Computing - Cybersecurity will prepare students to:

  • Integrate advanced knowledge of all areas of cybersecurity (General Computing Knowledge).
  • Apply fundamental principles and practices of the advancement of computing in cybersecurity (Cybersecurity Principles and Practices). 
  • Apply critical and ethical thinking to solve problems in the advancement of computing in cybersecurity (Critical and Ethical Thinking).
  • Evaluate data to inform decisions and solve problems in the advancement of computing in cybersecurity (Quantitative Literacy).
  • Create the ability to develop and express ideas while applying a variety of delivery models, genres, and styles (Communication). 
  • Collaborate effectively on diverse teams to accomplish a common goal (Collaboration).
