CPC 510 Professional Ethics and Law
This course provides an introduction to ethical and legal codes and laws pertaining to therapeutic counselling practice. Areas of focus include practitioner responsibilities, liability, consent, confidentiality, dual relationships, and inter-professional communication. Students will explore the complex relationship between ethics, law, and the therapeutic alliance. Note: This course cannot be challenged or taken as an independent learning contract (ILC).
