CJ 341 Contemporary Justice Administration Issues
This is an advanced course employing case studies that integrate previous coursework. It provides students a forum for analyzing and debating contemporary and real-world issues involved with the delivery and administration of justice.
Outcomes
- This course will prepare students to:
- Assess trending issues of crime and justice.
- Apply critical thinking to the social, political, and economic benefits and costs of justice policies.
- Critically analyze the role of policy development in justice policy and regulation.
- Evaluate the unintended social consequences of both "good" and "bad" policies, practices, and laws.
- Evaluate the impact of mass media, technology, and social networking on the public's perception of justice.
