JPN 120 First-year Japanese (Intensive) (HU)
This fast-paced summer intensive course is equivalent to three quarters of first-year Japanese courses. It introduces students to the building blocks of Japanese—from pronunciation, Kana scripts, kanjis, to grammar—while focusing on a balanced development of proficiency in speaking, listening comprehension, reading, and writing. This course is designed for students with little or no background in the Japanese language. The course features immersion in a dynamic language-learning environment. Students will gain first-hand experience using Japanese in authentic situations.
