IS 312 Web Design
This course introduces students to the strategic importance of web design and teaches students to apply standards, to use web development tools, and to apply principles of web design to create effective business-driven websites. The following standards are covered: Hypertext Markup Language (HTML), Cascading Style Sheet (CSS), JavaScript (JS), and TypeScript (TS). The primary focus is on the display of data and information to end-users. The course emphasizes a business-driven design, build, test cycle, and introduces students to the fusion of multiple data sources into a website. The past, present, and future of web technology are also covered.
