Welcome to City University of Seattle

Welcome from CityU's President

City University opened its doors nearly 50 years ago, and a lot has changed since that day in 1973. Expanding to become one of the largest private, non-profit institutions in the Pacific Northwest with a global reach that now includes Canada, Mexico, China, Vietnam, Czech Republic, and Slovakia, the University has always prided itself on its flexibility and innovation. From offering classes to commuters on the Washington State Ferries in the 1980s and to teachers in local school districts in the 1990s to becoming one of the early adopters of online education in 2000, the University now has over 60K alumni worldwide.

I am continually in awe of the work that I hear City University alumni are accomplishing. Our alumni work at local companies ranging from Amazon, Microsoft, and Boeing to Seattle Public Schools as well as in private practice as counselors. City University even has a Mayor of Seattle as an alum.

Thank you for carrying on this tradition of excellence, and I wish you luck as you make your way towards becoming an alum. You help City University fulfill its mission as a private non-profit institution that changes lives, creating a ripple effect for good throughout the Pacific Northwest and to the world beyond.

Christopher Bryan

Interim President of CityU
