CJ 341 Contemporary Justice Administration Issues
This advanced course employs case studies that integrate previous coursework to provide students a forum for analyzing and debating contemporary and real-world issues involved with the delivery and administration of justice.
Outcomes
- This course will prepare students to:
- 1. Assess trending issues of crime and justice.
- 2. Apply critical thinking to the social, political, and economic benefits and costs of justice policies.
- 3. Critically analyze the role of policy development in justice policy and regulation.
- 4. Evaluate the unintended social consequences of both "good" and "bad" policies, practices, and laws.
- 5. Evaluate the impact of mass media, technology, and social networking on the public's perception of justice.
