MG 150 Introduction to Organizational Theory-Behavior
This course introduces students to organizational structures, continuity and socialization; power and conflict; individual and organizational effectiveness; organizational development including managing change, group structure, functions, and dynamics. Students will also learn how personality, motivation, and leadership contribute to organizational culture.
Outcomes
- This course will prepare students to:
- 1. Understand organizational theory as it relates to management.
- 2. Demonstrate how personality and motivation effect organizational behavior.
- 3. Relate the management of groups and teams to the importance of leadership.
- 4. Explain the importance of organizational design on processes within the organization.
- 5. Analyze how culture effects organizational behavior.
