CY 489 Cloud Security *

This course provides an in-depth examination of component security in cloud computing environments. Drawing on guidelines and best practices outlined by the Cloud Security Alliance, students gain competencies in secure software development, identity management, encryption methods, and critical cloud security topics. Students build expertise in assessing and mitigating vulnerabilities in cloud components: operating systems, hypervisors, orchestration engines, and more. Upon successful completion of this course, students will be prepared to sit for the Certificate of Cloud Security Knowledge certification exam.

For students to succeed in this course, CS 330 and IS 345 are required prerequisites
