International Students Admission to Study in Canada

The instructional locations in British Columbia and Alberta are authorized by the Canadian government to admit international students. International applicants who want to study in Canada, and also Canadian students who transfer from other Canadian institutions, must follow the same procedures as those who study in the U.S. In addition to the general admission requirements, students must submit the following:

  • Copy of the identification page of the student passport.
  • Current bank statement and sponsor statement if applicable.

Upon acceptance to City University of Seattle, students will be issued a letter of admission. To obtain a student visa, this letter must be presented to the closest Canadian consular or immigration office. Students should consult the international student advisor at the Vancouver B.C. teaching location. Students must comply with general program admission requirements as well as fulfill all pertinent rules and regulations related to the Study Permit application process, In addition to the application portfolio backed by documentary evidence, including the mandatory application fee, candidates must submit the following supplementary documents:

  • Passport ID: Copy of the ID page of student' s passport.
  • Sponsorship Letter If applicable.
  • Study Permit: Copy of Study Permit and/or any other official document issued by Canadian authorities if the student is already in Canada
  • Proof of English Proficiency: If the college level or the undergraduate degree was earned outside the recognized universities and countries (Canada, USA, UK, NZ, Australia, Ireland),
  • Resume
  • Name changes: Only if applicable
  • student consent form if the student is getting assistance from a third party

They can apply online or visit their local visa application centres to obtain a Study Permit (student visa) using the Letter of Acceptance as one of the supporting documents. Canadian students who transfer from other Canadian institutions to study in the USA, must follow the same procedures as international students who study in the U.S. Students should consult the US international Admission Office for additional information
