IS 457 Enterprise Systems

This course is designed to provide students with an understanding of the theoretical and practical issues related to the application of enterprise systems within organizations. This course also covers the design, selection, implementation, and management of enterprise IT solutions. The first focus is on applications and infrastructure and their fit with the business. The second focus is to demonstrate how enterprise systems integrate information and organizational processes across functional areas with a unified system comprised of a single database and shared reporting tools. Students gain an appreciation of the scope of enterprise systems and the motivation for implementing them.
