ECU 584 Standards and Assessment in STEM and Science Education

This course introduces candidates to multi-dimensional and authentic assessment of the Next Generation Science Standard (NGSS) performance expectations. The course emphasizes the integration of the NGSS dimensions in formative and summative assessment. Candidates learn how to generate performance assessments that foreground authentic learning of disciplinary core ideas, science and engineering practices, and cross-cutting concepts.
