ELP 85 Academic and Professional Writing *
This course is designed to support advanced learners of English to improve the quality of their academic and professional writing. Students learn to write according to academic and business writing conventions with specific emphasis on short- form writing such as paragraphs, email, business letters, agendas, etc. The majority of the writing in the course is produced in response to current events related to business practices. This course also serves as writing support for other master level courses through review of research papers.
Prerequisite
A TOEFL iBT score of at least 76 or an equivalent. iTEP score of 4.0 or equivalent. Completion of
ELP 80 and
ELP 81 with a grade of 2.5 or higher.
