DBA 620 Technology Implementation and Change Management
This course addresses the continued and expanding role of technology in sustained organizational success and addresses methodologies for designing or selecting technology solutions to optimize business success. Students will utilize project management skills to plan and implement technology solutions that support business goals. Students will also conduct needs analysis, propose viable solutions to address those needs, justify selections, and create an implementation plan. Students will also assess technology implementations to determine the extent of their success.
Outcomes
- This course will prepare students to:
- Analyze major technology trends and their impact on the competitive environment of business organizations.
- Appraise organizational adaptations to changing technological and institutional environments applying principles of knowledge management and organizational learning.
- Evaluate organizational strategy, structure, and performance using sociotechnical systems theory and design thinking.
- Develop user-sensitive system requirements, designs, and assessments using the principles of user-centered design.
