EML 486 Ratios and Proportional Relationships (NS)

Candidates develop conceptual understanding of and procedural fluency with ratios and proportional relationships. Candidates learn to incorporate the standards of math practice within ratios and proportional relationships. Topics include: ratio relationships between two quantities, unit rates, rate language, representations (e.g., tables, tape diagrams, double number line diagrams, equations), multistep ratio and percent problems.   Upon successful completion of this course, candidates will have the knowledge and skills to help K-12 students become college and career ready in ratios and proportional relationships.
