SSC 107 Introduction to International Studies (SS)

An introductory look at the world’s political, economic, and social structures in order to gain a better understanding of how nations interact and why world leaders take particular actions to further the interests of their nations. Emphasis is placed on the impact which world events have on individuals and the lives that they live.

  6. Describe the major approaches by which individuals living in different nations form their perceptions of the world.
  7. Describe the major economic issues facing the world and particular world regions.
  8. Summarize economic and political issues involving world trade and potential impacts to individual, organizational, and community behavior.
  9. Discuss how world history affects modern diplomacy.
