EMBA 585 Economics, Ethics and Law
Our class on economics, ethics, and law, EMBA 585, provides a comprehensive examination of the interplay between these three critical areas in the business world. The course covers key subjects in microeconomics, business ethics, corporate social responsibility, contract law, antitrust law, international business law, corporate governance, labor law, and environmental law. Students evaluate the concepts of risk management and mitigation and learn to become aware of potential areas of liability, risk, and avoiding possible litigation. Students will also learn about ethical principles and moral values that govern business practices, the legal issues that arise in international business, the laws and regulations that prevent anti-competitive practices, and the responsibilities of corporations and business leaders.
