HL 661 Capstone - Practicum *
This practicum course provides students with a healthcare related learning experience, designed to enhance the understanding of administration practices within a given facility. Students will focus on the development of professional healthcare practice. By the end of the course students will have a deeper understanding of the real-life work environment in the field of healthcare administration. Students will conduct their practicum at an approved site, either in-person or virtually. Deliverables will be contingent upon the site but may include project reports, reflection papers, and evaluations by their site supervisor.
Prerequisite
This course is the practicum capstone for students in the Master of Science in Healthcare Administration. This course is the last and final course in the program and should not be taken until the student has completed all other coursework in the program and worked with the program director to secure a practicum site.
