RESR 643 Advanced Quantitative Methods *

This advanced quantitative methods course provides opportunities to apply advanced statistical tools used to analyze data in a variety of disciplines, advancing candidates’ experience in assessing the quality of quantitative designs. This course emphasizes teaching skills required to conduct quantitative analysis including how to: organize data; determine which statistical tools to apply based on the research question and nature of the data; calculate effect size and power; read outputs; translate statistical results; and communicate findings. Doctoral candidates apply skills learned in this course to competently design and implement the analytical section of their quantitative or mixed methods research projects and dissertations.
