ENT 620 Economics of Entrepreneurship
Financial knowledge is the biggest predictor of success or failure of a business. This course analyzes the unique financial issues facing entrepreneurial firms. Topics include assessing financial performance, financial forecasting and planning, financial management of rapidly growing businesses, start-up ventures, valuation, sources of financing, and daily accounting issues.
Outcomes
- This course will prepare students to:
- Develop a forecast of capital needs.
- Evaluate cash basis and accrual accounting to determine the impact of cash budgeting on a start-up.
- Assess financial forecasting and planning.
- Contrast different types of financing including bank loans, SBA loans, venture capital, angel investing, and crowdfunding.
