EMBA 565 Negotiations

Our class on negotiations is designed to provide students with the skills and knowledge needed to negotiate effectively in a business setting. The course covers key topics such as negotiation theory and practice, effective communication and persuasion techniques, power and influence in negotiations, and cultural considerations in cross-border negotiations. Students will learn how to prepare for negotiations, assess their bargaining position, and use a variety of negotiation strategies, including "both/and" thinking to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes. The course will also explore ethical considerations that are unique to business negotiations, and how to build long-term relationships with negotiation partners.
